Recently, the employment platform Indeed announced the average salary level in Canada, as well as the income standard of each province or territory.
According to the Narcity report, the Indeed platform cited Statistics Canada data, saying that the average annual salary of residents over the age of 15 across the country is 59,059 yuan, and if calculated on a weekly basis, it is 1,136 yuan per week.
However, average salaries vary from province to province. For example, the average annual salary in Alberta is 66,910 yuan, which is the highest among all provinces.
The average annual salary in Ontario is also higher than the national level, with residents earning an average of $61,873 per year.
Average salaries in NSW and Saskatchewan were slightly higher than the national average, with an average annual salary of $59,724 or $59,707.
In contrast, average wages in British Columbia are slightly below the national average. The annual salary of local residents is 58,678 yuan.
The remaining provinces, including Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, also had average salaries below the national average.
In addition, Indeed also released a number of industries with salaries higher than the national average, including construction, management, finance and insurance, public administration, transportation and warehousing.
Among them, the mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industries have the highest average salary in Canada, earning an average of 113,506 yuan a year, which is 54,447 yuan higher than the national average.
Other high-paying fields include utilities that operate electricity, gas and water systems ($101,531), finance and insurance ($76,843), and professional, scientific and technical services ($76,078). And the public administration industry (an average annual salary of 75,800 yuan).
Last month, recruitment agency Randstad Canada listed some of Canada’s highest-paying jobs, some of which pay more than $130,000 a year.
